2017 Mill Valley Evacuation Drill
Saturday, May 20, 2017 | 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Locations: Edgewood and Homestead Valley Neighborhoods
The drill begins on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with an activation of the Alert Marin Telephone Emergency Notification System\ which is a reverse 9-1-1 dialing system that can be used to alert residents in the event of an emergency. If you have not signed up already, please do so prior to the drill at www.alertmarin.org. If you have difficulty signing up, contact the Mill Valley Fire Department at (415) 389-4130.
After you receive the emergency activation, please proceed to the Drill Command Center located in the Tamalpais High School parking lot at 700 Miller Avenue between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
- Evacuate by foot, bike or vehicle to the Tam High parking lot. If you know that a neighbor will require evacuation assistance, please let us know.
- Emergency information and demonstrations will be provided by our community emergency partners, Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), the Red Cross, Marin Humane Society, Whistlestop Wheels, Marin Medical Reserve Corps, Emergency Preparedness Commission and the Salvation Army.
